Opening the shade
Make sure that the shade is adequately
supported; that is, that the weight of the
sun shade base is sufficient (see "Tech-
nical data").
1. Open the shade slightly by hand (see
figure D).
2. Push the slide handle b up until it audi-
bly locks into place (see figure E + F).
Tilting the shade
You can tilt the shade. Prerequisite: The
shade has been opened completely.
There are 2 versions of the tilting mech-
anism:
Ver sion 1:
• Slide the metal sleeve c up and tilt the
shade pole (see figure G + H).
Ver sion 2:
• Push the button d and tilt the shade
pole (see figure G + H).
Closing the shade
The shade must be closed in the event of
incoming wind, rain or snow.
Ver sion 1:
1. Position the shade pole so that it is
straight and slide the metal sleeve c
down over the joint e (see figure I).
2. Push the button f and let the push
handle slide down (see figure J + K).
Ver sion 2:
1. Push the button d and position the
shade pole so that it is straight (see
figure I).
2. Push the button f and let the push
handle slide down (see figure J + K).

Cleaning the cover
The cover has a stain-resistant impreg-
nation. In order to clean it, ideally use a
soft brush and a small amount of soapy
solution.
For the model Active 180x120, you can
remove the cover of the frame:
1. Close the shade (see figure J + K).
2. Pull the cover pockets off of the brace
ends (see figure L).
3. Screw the head plate g on the top end
of the shade off (see figure L) and pull
off the cover.
4. Attention! The cover is not suitable
for machine washing!
Hand wash the fabric at 40 °C. Do not
put it in the dryer, do not iron and do
not dry clean it.
5. Put the wet cover back on and tighten
the head plate g.
6. Open the shade and let the cover dry
thoroughly.
7. If necessary, close the shade and at-
tach the protective sleeve.
Care + storage
Clean the shade pole regularly to en-
sure that the mobile parts slide properly.
If necessary spray with a silicon or Tef-
lon lubricant spray.
Check all load-bearing parts such as
braces, screws etc. regularly.
Over winter, dismantle the sunshade and
store it in a dry, well-ventilated area.
At the start of the season ensure that all
components and fixings are secure. If
you are unsure, do not use the product.

36 months.

uct number.
