15. ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Disposal of Liquid Waste
The presence of liquid or condensed water not treated of reservoir or condensate separator in rivers, lakes or other receiving means can
affect adversely the aquatic life and the quality of the water.
The condensate removed daily from the reservoir or condensate separator, according to Chapter "Preventive Maintenance", should be col-
lected in recipient and/or in collector lines adapted for its posterior treatment.
Schulz S.A. recommends to treat appropriately the liquid waste produced inside the reservoir of SRS - Air Dryer or from the condensate
separator through processes that seek to guarantee the protection to the environment and the life quality of the population in conformity
with the requirements of the country-specific regulations.
It can be used several treatment methods such as physical-chemical, chemical and biological.
The treatment can be made by the own company or through the service of third parts.
2. Disposal of Solid Waste (parts in general and product package)
The generation of solid residues is an aspect that should be considered by user, in the use and maintenance of its equipment. The impacts
caused in the environment can provoke significant alterations in the quality of the ground, in the quality of the superficial water and the
underground and in the health of the population, through the inadequate disposal of the discarded residues (in public roads, hydric receivers,
sanitary embankments, etc.).
Schulz S.A. recommends the residues handling originating from the product since its generation, handling, movement, treatment until its
final disposal. An appropriate handling should consider the following stages: quantification, qualification, classification, reduction in the
source, collecting and selective collecting, recycling, storage, transport, treatment and final destination.
The solid residues disposal should be done in agreement with the requirements of the country-specific regulations.
