2. Replace fan power supply cable
Before installing the fan, remove the power supply cable from the fan's
downrod and replace it with the cable provided with the 0–10 V module. Make
sure the end with the four loose wires is at the top of the downrod and that the
wires are at least 4 in. (102 mm) long. Cut the cable to the appropriate length
for the downrod and strip 0.3 in. (8 mm) of insulation from each wire.

3. Install fan
Follow the steps in the fan installation guide to install the fan. Stop and return
to these instructions after completing the "Hang Fan" step. Do not proceed
with the remaining steps until you have installed the 0–10 V module.
Note: After attaching the downrod to the fan, gently tug on the cables at the
top of the downrod to remove slack.
