8.1 Mounting the saw on a work bench (Fig. 3)
• A workbench made from solid wood is better than
one made of plywood, as interfering vibrations and
noise are more noticeable with plywood.
• The necessary tools and small parts for assembling
the saw on a workbench are not supplied with the
saw. However, use equipment of at least the fol-
lowing size:
1
Saw body
2
Foam rubber base.
3
Work bench
4
Flat seal
5
Washer (7 mm)
6
Hexagonal nut (6 mm)
7
Lock nut (6 mm)
8
Hexagon head screws (6 mm)
• First of all, drill holes into the seating surface and
then insert the screws.
• A foam rubber base for reduction of noise is not
supplied with the saw either. However, we express-
ly recommend that you use such a base to keep
vibration and noise to a minimum. Ideal size 400
x 240 mm.
8.2 Assembling the work table (Fig. 4 - 6)
• Lay the table insert (a) in the recess in the work ta-
ble intended for this (7) (Fig. 4). (To replace, disas-
semble the work table in reverse order.)
• Place the band saw blade through the slot on the
machine table. Place the machine table on the ta-
ble guide so that the fixing screw (b) fits through the
bracket (c). (Fig. 4.1+4.2)
• Screw the machine table tight with the quick release
lever and a washer (E) (Fig. 4+5).
• Check that the bandsaw blade runs freely and does
not touch the table.
• Fit the bolt M6x40 with two washers and the nut to
the table. (Fig. 5.1)
• Using the adjustment screw (F) to adjust the table
to a right-angle. – Use a set square –
• Counter the adjustment screw (F) and tighten the
quick release lever (E).
• Set the scale pointer (G) to 0.
8.3 Fitting the table width enlargement
(Fig. 7+7.1+7.2+7.3+7.4)
• Remove the two bolts and washers (d) from the ta-
ble width enlargement (6). (Fig. 7)
• Slide the table width enlargement (6) onto the table
mounted on the machine. Ensure that the clamping
lever (8) is open (Fig. 7.1+7.2).
32 | GB
• Push the table width enlargement fully onto the ta-
ble (Fig. 7.3) in order to fix the two bolts (d) on both
sides. (Fig. 7.4) Be sure to fit the bolts (d) on both
sides. The two bolts are used to limit the extension
of the table width enlargement.
8.4 Fitting the parallel stop (Fig. 8)
• Fit the parallel stop (5) by positioning it at the back
and fixing the clamping lever (K) in place down-
wards.
• When dismantling, pull the clamping lever (K) up-
wards and remove the parallel stop (5).
• The clamping force of the parallel stop can be ad-
justed at the rear knurled nut (P).
8.5 Adjusting the cutting width (Fig. 8 + 8.1)
• The parallel stop (5) must be used when cutting
sections of wood lengthways.
• Place the parallel stop (5) on the guide rail (Q) to
the left or right of the sawing blade
• 2 scales (L/M) are printed on the guide rail for the
parallel stop (5), which show the distance between
the stop rail and sawing blade.
• Adjust the parallel stop (5) to the required dimension
in the window (O) and use the clamping lever (8) to
fix in place for the parallel stop. (Fig. 8)
8.6 Using the table width enlargement (Fig. 9 - 10)
• Always use the table width enlargement (6) with
particularly wide workpieces.
• Loosen the clamping lever (8) and pull the table width
enlargement out far enough so that the workpiece to
be sawn can lie on it without tipping. (Fig. 10)
8.7 Sawblade changing(Fig. 11 + 12)
• Attention: Pull the mains plug!
• Attention! Wear protective gloves when changing
the saw blade! Risk of injury!
• Remove the parallel stop and the table width en-
largement in reverse order (Fig. 7-8).
• Open the top and bottom of the housing door. Open
the door locks (2) using a slotted screwdriver. The
lower housing door only opens when the saw table
is inclined by 45°.
• Relieve the saw band tension with the clamping
screw (11), remove the band. Fig. 11
• Remove the tape. Remove the saw band from the
saw band rollers and through the slot in the saw
table (7).
