Freeplay Adjustment:
Measure the throttle grip freeplay at the
throttle grip flange.
The standard freeplay should be
approximately:
2—6 mm (0.1—0.2 in)
Major freeplay adjustments, such as after
replacing the throttle cables or removing
the throttle body, are made with the lower
adjuster (2). Minor freeplay adjustments are
made with the upper adjuster (3). To adjust
freeplay, loosen the lower lock nut (4) or
upper lock nut (5), and turn the lower
adjuster or upper adjuster. Tighten the lock
nut after adjustment.
After adjustment, check again for smooth
rotation of the throttle grip from the fully
closed to the fully open position with the
steering to the full right and left as well as
straight ahead.
If proper throttle freeplay cannot achieved,
contact your dealer.
