This hot-melt gun has been designed for indoor household (non-professional) use. It is specifically intended
for gluing different materials, such as paper, cardboard, cork, wood, leather, cloth, sponge material, some
types of plastic, ceramic, porcelain, glass, metal, tiles, etc.
1. Choose a SALKI hot-melt gun with enough power for the job to be done.
2. Before beginning work, dry and remove any dust, dirt or grease from the surfaces being glued.
3. Make sure that neither the materials being glued nor the work base are easily flammable.
4. For heat-sensitive materials (styrofoam, silk cloth, certain types of paper, etc.), use a gun and glue sticks
suitable for low temperatures and do a prior check.
GLUING:
1. Insert the appropriate glue stick in the back of the gun (its diameter, length and type are determined by
the work to be done). Press the trigger several times until the glue stick is firmly inserted inside the entry
tube.
2. Unfold the flexible stand and plug the gun into the power outlet, leaving it in a stationary position. If it
has an ON/OFF button, switch it to ON. Allow it to heat up, according to the pre-heating time indicated in
the table above.
3. Have the surfaces/parts ready to be glued/joined together.
4. Gently activate the advance trigger and apply the glue on one of the surfaces to be glued.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- To join together large or long surfaces: Apply dots of glue.
- For flexible materials (cloth), the use of a line (string) is recommended.
5. Once the glue is applied, immediately join and press together the materials being glued. Depending on
the materials and the type and amount of glue applied, the glue may finish hardening after 1-2 minutes.
6. If the parts need to be repositioned, they can be detached by applying heat to the seam.
7. Do NOT use combustible solvents to clean the areas to be glued.
• Before performing any cleaning or maintenance work, the gun must be unplugged and at room temperature.
• NEVER TRY TO REMOVE THE GLUE STICK REMAINING INSIDE THE GUN BY PULLING IT
BACKWARD, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS HOT OR COLD.
• Keep the device clean to ensure correct, safe work. Do not submerge it in any liquid or allow it to come into
contact with moisture.
• Once the work is finished, disconnect the gun from the power outlet, wait for the tool to cool completely and
store it in a dry place out of the reach of children.
