Before you start operating
Individuals who have not read the instruction manual
and are not familiarized with how to operate the combi
drill must not use it.
To ensure that you work with the power tool safely, you
should consider a few precautions and procedures
before start-up:
▪ Inspect the power tool before each use. Check that
all accessories are assembled correctly and in good
condition. If there is damage or excessive wear,
replace them;
▪ Check that all bolts are properly tightened. Regular
inspection is important to ensure safety issues and
the performance of the power tool;
▪ After fitting the accessories and before using the
device on a workpiece, run it at maximum no-load
speed for some time. Check for moving parts
misalignment or any other condition that may affect
the combi drill operation. Check that all moving parts
run smoothly, without abnormal noises and sparks
on the carbon brushes;
▪ Check that the safety devices are in perfect condition
and function properly. Never use the power tool if
the safety devices are missing, inhibited, damaged or
worn out;
▪ If the ON/OFF switch is damaged or does not allow
the operation of the tool to be controlled, it must be
repaired or replaced in order to prevent any
accidental start.
Make all adjustments and work necessary for the
correct assembly of the combi drill. If you have any
questions
or
difficulties,

Keep the work area clean, organized and well lit (250 to
300 lux), thus decreasing the risk of accidents.
Always wear personal protective equipment and
clothing. Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing
protection, anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing,
gloves and helmet properly reduces the risk of injury.
Clothing worn during the appliance operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler
suit. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts.
The control and safety devices installed must not be
removed or inhibited.
To avoid accidents, you should also take into
consideration
the
procedures:
▪ The accessories speed of the combi drill must be at
least equal to the maximum speed stated in the
technical data table;
▪ When operating the combi drill, adopt a stable
position and always keep your balance. Hold the
appliance firmly to ensure continuous operation and
withstand unexpected situations, such as kickback;
▪ The kickback is a sudden reaction that happens when
the power tool is switched on and the drill or bit gets
jammed. The accessory kickback forces the power
tool to rotate in the opposite direction to the rotation
of the accessory;
▪ The kickback occurs due to an incorrect use of the
power tool or due to an improper working procedure
which can cause serious injuries to the user. Loss of
control can result in serious injury. To avoid the
kickback, the following precautions must be
considered:
- Fit the accessory in the correct position and keep it
securely locked in place;
- Do not position your body in the area where power
tool will move if kickback occurs;
