Best practice & hints for use in eARC Audio Extractor
mode:
• Activate eARC on the TV
• Set your TV to Audio Passthrough Mode for support of PCM5.1/
PCM7.1, for Dolby Atmos output from TV apps sometimes Auto
mode is better
• Power on AVR, AX110 and TV before starting the gaming con-
sole or media player
• Some new TVs do not passthrough DTS audio. In that case let
your player decode the DTS audio to PCM5.1/7.1.
• You can control volume and mute/unmute with the TV remote
via HDMI-CEC, if your AVR supports that through its HDMI input.
• Automatic switch off for TV and AVR works fine in many com-
binations. Automatic switch-on of AVR is often not possible,
or possible only with an external supply via an power adaptor.
However, there are some TV and AVR combinations which won't
start up or shut down automatically via the AX110
• Some old AVR does not support volume control via their inputs.
In such a case you can configure your TV remote control to send
infrared commands directly to the sound system. To do that,
open universal device control (or similiar) in your TV menu and
configure it for your sound system. Apple TV or Fire TV Cube
have the same universal device control function, in case your
TV has not.
