1.3 Important safety information
When using electrical appliances, particularly in the presence of children, basic safety
precautions should always be taken.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, un-
less they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appli-
ance by a person responsible for their safety.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
The following applies in addition:
WARNING – Electric shock hazard:
• All work described in the Installation Instructions, such as installation, dis-
mantling, repairs and adjustments, may only be carried out by qualified
staff when isolated from the power supply.
- Switch off the ON/OFF switch 6 and wall power supply and take pre-
cautions to prevent them being switched on again.
- Remove the plug 7 and take precautions to prevent it being plugged in
again unintentionally.
• When the appliance is dismantled and the plug 7 inserted or the wall
power supply is switched on, the plug connections under the protective
caps d/e are live.
- Keep the protective caps d/e e.g. for when servicing, and when the
appliance is dismantled fit the protective caps d/e.
- You can order a protective cap g for unused spigots f from your Cus-
tomer Service Centre.
• The Acrobat 2004 type WA04/75 and WA04/95 power supply must be
either a properly earthed socket outlet with earthing contact / wall power
supply with earthed conductor.
• Keep the cable away from heated surfaces.
Do not squash or kink cable.
• Only clean the appliance with the plug 7 removed or wall power supply
switched off, and do not use a wet cloth.
WARNING – Sudden release of spring arm:
• The spring arm a contains a powerful spring. When the appliance is dis-
mantled, the spring arm a is suddenly released upwards and may cause
serious injury.
• The appliance may only be mounted / dismantled by a specialist (electri-
cian, technical expert) or staff with a comparable qualification according
to the valid instructions.
