Never change the power cord's plug and use a socket which
is compatible with the plug. Do not use any kind of socket
adaptor.
The use of extension cords to plug in the power cord is not
recommended. However, if you use an extension cord, you
should take some precautions, such as:
▪ If you operate the power tool outdoors, use only
extension cords suitable for outdoor use. The use of a
suitable extension cord reduces the risk of electric
shock;
▪ Use only extension cords, plugs and sockets with earth
terminal;
▪ The cross-section of the extension cord's conductors
shall be proportional to the length and with the same
characteristics as or larger than the drywall sander's
power cord;
▪ Do not use damaged extension cords. Examine the
extension cords before using them and replace if
necessary;
▪ Always unplug the extension cord before removing the
plug from the power tool;
▪ When using an extension cord reel, unroll the cord
completely.
The power tool is double insulated. No grounding is
required.
Individuals who have not read the instruction manual and
are not familiarized with how to operate the drywall sander
must not use it.
To ensure that you work with the power tool safely, you
should consider a few precautions and procedures before
start-up:
▪ Check that the whole machine and accessories are fitted
correctly and in good condition. Never use damaged
accessories;
▪ Replace faulty or damaged parts as well as all other worn
and used parts. Check for misalignment of moving parts
or any other condition that may affect power tool
operation under normal circumstances;
▪ Check that all nuts and bolts are properly tightened.
Regular inspection is important to ensure the safety
issues and good performances of the power tool;
▪ Check that the safety devices are in perfect condition
and function properly. Never use the power tool if the
safety devices are missing, inhibited, damaged or worn
out;
▪ Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is off when plugging in
the power cord. If the switch is damaged or does not
enable you to control the operation of the power tool, it
must be repaired or replaced in order to prevent
unintentional starting of the drywall sander;
▪ Identify the electrical, water and gas lines in the area
where the work will be carried out. Ensure that you do
not damage electrical circuits, gas and water pipes while
working;
▪ Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the
power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a
rotating part of the power tool may result in personal
injury.
Make all adjustments and work necessary for the correct
assembly of the power tool if you have any questions or
difficulties, contact your official dealer.
Keep third parties away from the power tool's area of
operation. Never work while animals or people,
especially children, are in the danger zone.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection,
anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and
helmet properly reduces the risk of injury.
Each person entering the work area must wear personal
protective equipment. Fragments can be thrown out while
using the sander and cause injury outside the direct work
area.
Clothing worn during the drywall sander operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from rotating parts.
Keep the work area clean, organised and well-lit to reduce
the risk of accidents.
