Auto-iris Lens Connector
Use the enclosed auto-iris lens connector plug.
VD - For auto-iris lenses with built-in EE amplifier (VIDEO
Type)
Set the lens mode switch to "VD" position. This is the external
view of the connector.
Connector cable leads:
1. Red -
power
2. NC
3. White -
video
4. Black -
shielded
DD - For auto-iris lenses without EE amplifier (DC
Type)
Set the lens selector switch to "DD" position. Connector cable
leads:
1. Damping coil (-)
2. Damping coil (+)
3. Driving coil (+)
4. Driving coil (-)
Connect the leads as shown above. Refer to the lens
instructions for further information.

AMMA
There are two different levels of Gamma available via the SW1
switch. The default setting is 0.45 and provides increased
visibility in low light conditions.
There is an option to switch to 1 (linear) which may under certain
illumination provide a better picture.

AGC
AND
UPER
The Automatic Gain Control (AGC) facility improves picture
quality when the overall level of illumination is low.
Select the Normal AGC for most applications, and this is the
default factory setting. Super AGC provides more gain for very
low light applications.

Line Lock - As standard, all Mains 230 Volt cameras are
triggered to the same point as the Mains AC cycle (frequency
50Hz).
Internal Sync– For low voltage cameras, the frame rate is set by
an Internal oscillator within the camera.

The AR digital cameras provide two types of white balance:
•
ATW mode— Set the DIP switch to the ATW position
In this mode the colour temperature is continuously
monitored, and the white balance is set automatically by an
internal microprocessor. The operating colour temperature
range is from 2500°K to 9500°K approximately. This is the
default setting.
•
AWB mode— Set the DIP switch to the AWB position. This
setting provides conventional auto-white balance.

N/C
AC 24V/DC12V model (Low Voltage Version)
This terminal accepts both AC 24V and DC 12V (non-polarity),
with Class 2 isolated power supply
AC 85V~265V model
The camera is equipped with a wide-ranging power supply. The
unit can accept an AC power source input from 85VAC to
265VAC
Line-Lock Phase Adjustment
The vertical phase of the video signal can be matched to the
phase of AC power line.
Use a dual-trace oscilloscope to observe the video output signal
(V-rate) of the camera and adjust the Line-lock Phase control
buttons to line up the phase of both signals.
Phase adjusting buttons for line-lock models
Caution: It is recommended that only qualified servicing
personnel perform phase adjustments

AMERAS
In a low-light environment, a conventional colour camera does
not benefit from the use of an IR illuminator. The Aritech Colour /
Mono cameras (AR- has been specially designed to operate with
most IR illuminators, producing a clear Monochrome picture
even in areas of complete darkness. The infrared wavelength
ranges from 820nm to 1000nm.
The camera will automatically change to a Monochrome picture
at approximately 0.5 Lux providing a High-resolution picture. The
focus may vary slightly with IR wavelength due to lens diffraction
to longwave. When installing the camera with a Infra Red light,
check the focus under both IR illumination and normal light
conditions in order to find a satisfactory focusing position.
To compensate for lens diffraction, it is recommended to close
the lens aperture by one or two stops. This increases the depth
of field.
