7. Installation
WARNING
Failure of the mounting
Lacerations and impacts due to sudden loss of restraint during testing, resulting in uncontrolled violent movements of all
components.
» Mount the torque analyser only on a platform that is sufficiently stable.
» Mount the torque analyser as specified in the installation instructions.
Bolt the torque analyser into position on a suitable underlay with sufficient load-bearing capability in accordance with the
following specifications:
 4 M10 hex socket-head screws to DIN EN ISO 4762, strength class min. 8.8.
 4 plain washers.
 4 M10 hexagon nuts.
 Tightening torque 50 Nm.
8. Initial commissioning
NOTICE
Incorrect mains voltage
System defect due to use with an incorrect mains voltage.
» Operate the unit only with the mains voltage specified on the nameplate.
» Use only the power supply unit supplied.
1. Variant 1: Connect the power supply unit to the mains.
Variant 2: Insert the USB-A plug into a computer.
2. Insert the USB-C plug into the connector socket on the exterior of the casing.
9. Switching the torque tester on

The torque tester is tared automatically each time it is switched on.
1. To switch the torque tester on, press the OK button and keep it depressed for around three seconds.
» "Tare" is displayed.
CAUTION! Incorrect taring. Do not apply any load to the torque tester during the taring process.
2. When the torque tester switches to measurement mode, the taring process is complete.
» The measurement mode last used is displayed.
10. HCT Mobile App and HCT Windows App

Using the HCT App, data from the measurement tool is displayed on the end device and can be documented digitally. Meas-
urement tool and end device must be connected via Bluetooth.
