Short-circuit currents and short-circuit sparking, resulting from moisture, damp,
or dirt, can cause an already present explosive atmosphere to ignite.

The IONSTAR must be protected from moisture and damp

Check the device regularly for dirt and contamination

If in the unlikely event of arcing (flashover) occurring, take the device out
of operation immediately
4. Notes on proper use
The IONSTAR is used to eliminate electrostatic charge on surfaces, especially
surfaces to be painted. The operating conditions specified in this manual must
be observed.
Use of the device in potentially explosive atmospheres
The device is intended for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas and is marked in
accordance with EC Directive 2014/34/EU.
