Cause of fault
1.1
No compressed air
supply, or compressed air
supply inadequate
(with compressed air
system)
1.2
No compressed air
supply, or compressed air
supply inadequate
(with electric compressor)
2.1
Fan speed too fast
2.2
Fan hub can no longer
vent

Remedy
In machines with a compressed air system it must be checked
whether the pressure is present at the solenoid valve,
otherwise check supply.
If sufficient pressure is present at the solenoid valve (min. 6.5
bar, max. 8 bar), it must be checked whether the valve is
switching - connect external power supply if necessary
(attention: 12V or 24V).
If both of the above-mentioned requirements above have been
met, the pneumatic hose from the valve to the fan must be
checked to see whether it is kinked or leaking. The hose can
be detached from the valve if necessary and workshop
compressed air applied (max. 8 bar) in order to locate possible
leaks more quickly.
If the hose is leaking it must be replaced.
If the rotary joint at the fan is leaking, an appropriate Hägele
sealing kit can be installed.
If all of the conditions that have been explained have been
met and the vanes are still not rotating, there is a mechanical
fault in the fan housing, which must be sent to the
manufacturer for repair.
Check operation of compressor. If it is not working, check the
power supply.
Check voltage directly at the compressor during operation. The
voltage may drop no more than 0.5V below the nominal
voltage when the compressor is building up pressure.
Otherwise the power supply must be checked or stabilised
(different cross-section, shorter cable etc.).
Check compressor pressure build-up using a suitable pressure
gauge (at least 6.5 bar after 15 sec.) with the Cleanfix fan
connected.
Check operation of solenoid valve, must be switched on during
compressor operation.
Check the pneumatic system as described above (1.1).
Reduce speed
Install more springs if possible
The pneumatic hose is kinked or pinched somewhere, and the
pressure can no longer escape.
Solenoid valve no longer switching back.
or it is blocked -> pull off hose, replace valve or
compressor unit
If the stationary fan does not switch back with the hose
detached, there is a mechanical fault. The fan must be sent to
the manufacturer for checking.
