Open the cover with the spray nozzle (8).

Close the water reservoir cover (9).

Place the glass jug (3) on the hot plate (4).
N.B. : the coffee maker has an anti-drip system. This stops coffee from dripping from the
filter holder (2) if the glass jug (3) is removed briefly while percolation is in progress. Put the
jug back in place within 30 seconds, otherwise the coffee may overflow.

Connect the power plug (7) to a compatible power socket.

Switching on the appliance: Press the On/Off button
red. The percolation process starts.

Let the appliance operate until the water reservoir (6) is empty.

Once the coffee has been prepared, if you do not want to serve it immediately, keep the
switch in the "On" position. The coffee will be kept hot on the hot plate. The appliance will
automatically turn off 40 minutes after it was turned on. For the best possible taste, serve
coffee immediately after it has been prepared.

Warning! When the glass jug (3) is empty, press the On/Off switch
manually. Never leave an empty jug on the hot plate (4) while the keep hot function is active.

Warning! When using the glass jug, hold it by the handle only. Risk of burns!

Leave the coffee maker to cool for at least five minutes between two percolation cycles.

When not in use, turn off the coffee maker and remove the plug (7) from the power socket.
Warning!
Before cleaning the appliance, ensure that it has been unplugged from the power socket, then
leave it to cool fully.
Warning!
The jug is designed to be used with this appliance only; it must not be used with a high-range
appliance. When the jug is full of hot coffee, do not put it down on a damp or cold surface.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Wash the filter holder and the filter in warm water. Leave them to dry fully.

Wash the jug in warm water and mild detergent.

Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Leave them to dry fully.
N.B. : the glass jug may be washed in a dishwasher.

Clean using a soft, damp cloth to remove any stains. Leave them to dry fully.
Warning: Never let water or other liquids get into the appliance. Pay special attention to the vents.

Never use strong cleaning products or abrasive products.
■
Keep the appliance in a dry place, protected from humidity and direct sunlight, and out of the
reach of children.
6.1. Descaling
N.B. : The coffee maker must be descaled regularly. The descaling intervals depend mainly on the
hardness of the water and the frequency of use. Use only commercially available descalers and
follow the manufacturer's instructions.
