Problem
The vacuum cleaner
does not start when it is
switched on.
Cause and remedy
There is no battery inserted or the battery is inserted
incorrectly.
 Insert the battery or check how the battery is posi-
tioned (see "Installation and connection" – "Insert-
ing the battery").
The rechargeable battery is not sufficiently charged.
 Charge the battery exactly as described in these
operating instructions (see "Installation and con-
nection" – "Charging the battery").
An original Miele battery has not been inserted.
 Insert an original Miele AP01 lithium-ion re-
chargeable battery (HX LA) .
The charger is still plugged in.
 Pull the charger out of the charging socket on the
battery.
