Positioning the Patient
Follow the procedure below to prepare and position the patient for CEPH
imaging.
Before Positioning the Patient
■ Ask the patient to remove all jewelry and metallic objects, such as earrings,
hair pins, spectacles, dentures, and orthodontic appliances. These items
may cause shadow images that could impede diagnosis.
■ It is strongly recommended that the patient wear a lead apron for protection
against any possible scatter radiation.
■ Adjust the column height to the patient's height using the up/down button or
switch (optional).

The SELECT button is disabled in PANO and CEPH modes.
NOTE
Correct positioning is an important factor in capturing the
best possible image.
NOTE
When acquiring a CEPH image, adjust the ear rods in the
proper direction with the nasal positioner unfolded.
CAUTION
Ensure that the patient is clear of all moving parts while
adjusting the height of the equipment.
