Before using the dehumidifier, carefully read all the instructions and follow them scrupulously. The manufacturer cannot be held
responsible for damage to persons and/or property caused by improper use of the equipment.
This instruction manual is an integral part of the equipment and must therefore be stored carefully and passed on with the unit in
the event of a change of ownership.
1. DESCRIPTION
The dehumidifiers described in this manual are designed to treat
rooms and areas that need to be dried, places where uncontrolled
increases in relative humidity cannot be tolerated. They consist of a
closed,
hermetically
sealed
environmentally-friendly
refrigerant
(hydrofluoroolefin) with reduced GWP (global warming potential), as
required by Regulation 517/2014 concerning fluorinated greenhouse
gases. These dehumidifiers are built to guarantee the safest, most
effective operation with relative humidity ranging from 20% to 100%
and temperatures from 3°C to 40°C. Dehumidifier operation is
controlled by an integrated temperature and humidity sensor, which
automatically switches the dehumidifier on and off when pre-set
thresholds are reached. Humidity is removed through by condensing
the water vapour against a sufficiently cold surface, thus
transforming the vapour into liquid water, which is then conveyed to
a drip pan.
The air sucked in by the fan (1) passes through a filter (7) and hits
the cold walls of the evaporator (6), cooling to a temperature below
its dew point. Some of the water vapour condenses and is collected
in the drip pan (8). The air then passes through the condenser (3)
and is heated to a temperature slightly higher than ambient
temperature, thus returning to the room drier and warmer.
When room temperature falls below certain values (15°/18°C), the
evaporator (6) surface temperature drops, leading to a progressive
build-up of ice which restricts air passage and can compromise
proper system function. To overcome this inconvenience, the unit
has an automatic defrost function, which heats the evaporator when
the probe detects temperatures that are too low. In this case, the
compressor (2) uses a by-pass valve (4) inject refrigerant gas
directly into the evaporator, thus increasing in its surface
temperature. The by-pass circuit automatically closes when the
control probe detects a higher temperature, thus enabling the
dehumidification cycle to resume.
The defrost function is activated and deactivated automatically by
an electronic control system which ensures that the dehumidifier
returns to full efficiency within a few seconds which means it can
be used even at very low ambient temperatures (down to 3°C).
The electronic control system manages all setting, operating and
diagnostics functions. In particular, during operation, the electronic
control:
• displays the settings as well as the current room humidity and
temperature values, thus ensuring control over the room's climatic
data

The operating characteristics and user interface are described in

2. CONDITIONS OF SUPPLY
The dehumidifier is delivered packed on a wood pallet and can
easily be handled with a manual or automatic fork lift with capacity
exceeding 200 kg.
Warning
Never attempt to lift the product manually: the excessive
weight could result in significant injury.
It contains:
• 1 dehumidifier
• 1 dehumidifier instruction and maintenance manual
• 1 manual with drawing and list of dehumidifier spare parts
Warning
The dehumidifier contains a liquid refrigerant with
flammability index rating of A2L.
Before proceeding with installation, check that the:
• packaging is intact
• machine is intact after being unpacked
• instruction manual is present
• declaration of conformity is present
The dehumidifier must be installed, adjusted, and used in
conformity to national and local laws and regulations for its
operation.
Check:
• that the instructions in this manual are read, fully understood and
followed very carefully;
• that the dehumidifier is not installed in a fire- or explosion-risk
place;
