It may also be the case that the minimum thread length is not observed between the individual
modules, for example when explosion-protected and standard modules are used in
combination. If the minimum thread length between conducting parts of explosion-protected
and standard modules is < 50 mm, the possibilities open to you for maintaining the thread
length between the modules are as follows:
1. Use the Ex isolating bar (6ES7 195-1KA00-0XA0) in connection with bus modules with an
active backplane bus.
2. If you do not use a bus module with an active backplane bus, you can also use the dummy
module DM 370 (6ES7 370-0AA01-0AA0).
•
In order to use the measurement inputs with the stated peak values for connecting to active
(remotely supplied) transmitters, the unused measurement transducer outputs 3 and 12 on the
front plug connectors must be covered with appropriate plastic caps.
•
When completing the wiring you must take care that there is strict separation of intrinsically
safe and non-intrinsically safe cables. They must be run in separate cable ducts.
•
The analog module must be operated with "safe functional extra-low voltage". This means that
even in the event of a fault these modules are exposed to a voltage of only Um ≤ 250 V.
All voltage sources, e.g. internal 24 V DC load voltage supplies, external 24 V DC load voltage
supplies or 5 V DC bus voltage, must be electrically connected to each other in such a way that
even if there are potential differences there will be no voltage addition at the individual voltage
sources, causing the fault voltage Um to be exceeded.
