7. PC or Laptop connection
To connect the SPM3000 to a compu-
ter or to a laptop, connect the USB
cable between the unit and the com-
puter as shown in the picture. Then
connect the power adaptor to the
power outlet. The computer will recog-
nize the new device automatically. To
access to the content of the multime-
dia player, go to "My Computer" menu
and select the external USB Device
"SPM3000".
Once the device is recognized, you
can copy files from the computer to
your device. Nevertheless, please follow these suggestions:
- Don´t turn the unit off while you are copying or reading files.
- Don´t turn the unit off if, when you connect it to the PC or laptop, the device is not recognized. Please wait during at least
15 seconds before disconnecting the unit because it is possible the computer is running another application at the same
time.
8. TV Connection
The unit has several output connections, including composite analog video output (AV), component analog video (YPbPr)
and HDMI digital. Select the output you want to use to connect the device accordingly to your needings; please note that
each signal output has different features and supports different resolutions. If you want to get high resolution quality 1080p,
connect the unit through HDMI output.
8.1 AV Connection
Connect the device to the TV through AV connection as shown in the picture. Then connect the power adaptor to the
power outlet, select AV input in the TV and wait some seconds during the system loading process.
If you want to enjoy the surround sound experience, use the coaxial audio output by connecting the device to a multichannel
audio system using a coaxial cable (this cable is not provided).
8.2 YPbPr Connection
The YPbPr cable is not provided with the unit, you can find it in a electronic shop. Connect the unit to your TV using the
YPbPr cable as shown in the picture. Connect the power adaptor to the power outlet, select YPbPr input in the TV and wait
while the system loading process.
Use the YPbPr cable for video signal (green, blue and red) and white and red connectors of AV cable for audio signal. You
can also use the coaxial audio output to enjoy the surround sound (coaxial cable is not provided).
8.3 HDMI Connection
Please connect the unit to the TV as shown in the picture. HDMI output carries audio and video digital signal in the same
cable. Connect the power adaptor to the power outlet, select HDMI input in your TV and wait during the system loading
process.
