12.2.2 Point to Point (Ad Hoc)
Point to Point (AD HOC) connection is used to connect two devices through a wireless network without the needing of a
router. In this connection the unit SPM3000 works as a WiFi Router. Follow these steps to complete the connection:
1. Select a connection profile and select the optoin "Point to Point (Ad Hoc).
2. SPM3000 will assign a name to the WiFi network and no password will be assigned.
3. You can change the network name assigned. Select "Wireless SSID" and press "Enter" button. A virtual keyboard apears
to enter the new network name.
4. You can also assign a WEP password to the wireless network. Select "Shared password (WEP)" and press "Enter". Enter
the password in the virtual keyboard and press "OK (SKey)" to confirm and save the changes.
5. The IP assigned automatically to the SPM3000 under Ad Hoc mode appears in the screen.
6. When the connection setup of the SPM3000 unit finishes, you can access from the device to the PC without the needing
of a Modem or of a Wifi Router.
13. Share files
Please note the following requirements are needed to share files between a PC or laptop and the device SPM3000:
1. The PC or laptop must be turned on and connected through the network.
2. The folder which contents the files you want to play must be shared through the network.
3. We suggest to use a Fixed IP.
4. The device SPM3000 and the PC or laptop must have the same Default gateway and subnet mask.
