Selecting the speed
By turning the handwheel (25) you can
progressively adjust the speed on the drill.
The speed on the drill can be read off the
display (17).
1. Turn the handwheel (25) in the "+" di-
rection to increase the speed.
2. Turn the handwheel (25) in the "-" di-
rection to decrease the speed.
Recommended speeds for
different drill sizes and materials:

AL = aluminium
MS = brass
ST = iron
Adjusting the Drilling Bench
1. Release the locking handle (4).
2. Push the drilling bench (8) to the desi-
red height.
3. Pivot the drilling bench (8) to the desi-
red position.
4. Fasten the drilling bench (8) again with
the locking handle (4).
5. You can also adjust the tilt angle of the
drilling bench (8). Loosen the retaining

screw (7) under the drilling bench (8)
with one of the supplied 10 mm hex
keys (24b). Tilt the drilling bench (8) as
desired to the right or left up to a max.
of 45°. Secure the drilling bench (8)
again with the retaining screw (7).
Preselecting the Drilling Depth
1. Release the locking screw from the
depth stop (22).
2. Lower the drilling spindle with the
mounted tool on to the workpiece.
3. Turn the scale until the red marking
arrow attached to the motor unit (2) is
pointing to the zero line of the scale.
4. Now turn the scale to the desired
drilling depth and tighten the locking
screw (22) again.
5. Turn the drilling spindle back to its star-
ting position.
Changing the tool
Remove the mains plug from the
outlet before changing the tool. This
will prevent an accidental start-up.
1. Turn the safety device (14) to the side.
2. Release the retaining jaws of the drill
chuck (12).
3. Remove the tool.
4. Insert a new tool.
5. Tighten the retaining jaws of the drill
chuck (12).
6. Check that the tool is centred.
7. Fold the safety device (14) down again.
8. Carry out a brief trial run in order to
check the drill for true running.
Under no circumstances may you
leave the drill chuck key inserted in
the drill chuck.
