3.6.3 Zero Box
Keeping food in the Zero Box compartment,
instead of the freezer or refrigerator
compartments, allows food to retain
freshness and flavour for longer, while
preserving its fresh appearance. When the
Zero Box tray becomes dirty, remove it and
wash with water.
(Water freezes at 0°C, but food containing
salt or sugar freezes at temperatures lower
than this).
The Zero Box compartment is usually used
for storing foods such as raw fish, lightly
pickled food, rice, and so on.
Do not put food you want to freeze
or ice trays (to make ice) in the Zero
Box compartment.
3.6.4 VitaCare Box
If the VitaCare Box is full, the fresh dial
located in front of the crisper should be
opened. This allows the air in the VitaCare
Box and the humidity rate to be controlled,
to increase the life of food within.
