Opening the shade
Please note!
– Before opening the sun shade, ensure
that it has a sufficiently secure posi-
tion, that is, that the proper sun shade
base is used.
1. If necessary, remove the protective
sleeve and tie strap.
2. Slightly open the sun shade by hand
(see figure C).
3. Turn the crank 5 clockwise. Do not
apply too much force in the process
and do not overwind the crank (see
figure D and E).
Closing the shade
Please note!
– The sun shade must be closed in the
event of incoming wind, rain or snow.
Damages occurring as a result of a
failure to do so are not covered by the
warranty.
– When closing the sun shade, the cov-
er could get caught between the brac-
es. If this happens, please careful-
ly pull parts of the cover caught be-
tween the braces out.
1. Turn the crank 5 anticlockwise until
the sun shade is completely closed.
(see figure F).
2. If the cover is caught between the
braces, carefully pull the cover be-
tween the braces out (see figure L).
3. To provide protection against wind
gusts, secure the sun shade with the
tie strap 9. To protect against fading,
pull over a protective sleeve (not in-
cluded in package contents).

Taking down the shade
Please note!
– If you do not use the sun shade for a
prolonged period – over winter or dur-
ing a trip – you should disassemble it
and store it in a safe place (see "Stor-
ing the shade").
1. Turn the crank 5 anticlockwise un-
til the sun shade is completely closed
(see figure F).
2. If applicable, release the fixture secur-
ing the sun shade in the sun shade
base and pull the sun shade out of the
sun shade base (see figure G).
3. Screw the bottom pole 4 off of the
crank casing 2 of the shade mast 1
anticlockwise (see figure H).
Cleaning the cover
Please note!
– The fabric is suitable for hand wash-
ing at 40 °C. The cover is not suitable
for machine washing!
– Do not use a tumble-dryer.
– Do not iron.
– Do not use aggressive chemical clean-
ing agents or fluids, solvents, abra-
sive substances or objects, bleach-
ing agents, high-pressure cleaners or
strong cleaning products.
– Comply with the manufacturer's dos-
ing, application and reaction instruc-
tions.
1. If applicable, release the fixture secur-
ing the sun shade in the sun shade
base, pull the sun shade out of the
sun shade base and lay it flat on the
ground (see figure G).
2. Screw the shade tip 6 off (see fig-
ure I).
3. Pull the cover pockets 7 off of the
brace ends 8 (see figure I) and re-
move the cover.
