Identification data
The following machine identification data are shown on the plate placed underneath the machine's standing
base:
• manufacturer and CE mark
• model (Mod.)
• serial number (SN)
• electrical supply voltage (V) and frequency (Hz)
• absorbed electric power (W)
• assistance toll-free number
Always give the model and serial number to the Authorised Service Centres when requesting assistance.

using the appliance for the first time
Check that the voltage of the domestic network is the same as that indicated on the technical information plate
of the appliance. Then place the machine on a flat surface, away from water taps and sinks.
Insert the plug into the socket, which must be earthed.
hOW TO MAke cOFFee
if it is the first time the appliance is turned on, or if it has not been used for some time, let at least one
cup of coffee come out first. Wash and dry the carafe and all accessories. do not wash the boiler or
power supply base.
Make sure the machine is cold. Unscrew the machine by holding the carafe (C) with one hand and by turning
the boiler (G) anti-clockwise with the other. Remove the funnel filter (F) and fill the boiler with water until the
safety valve (L) seen inside the boiler is reached (Fig. 2). Do not go past the safety valve.
Warning!
Pay utmost attention so that the water does not dampen the exterior of the boiler. Prevent infiltrations
of water inside electrical parts.
Never fill the boiler with hot or boiling water.
Do not use the coffee maker with barley coffee.
Put the funnel filter (F) inside the boiler (G). Fill the funnel filter with ground coffee without pressing it. Fill it a bit
at a time to prevent the ground coffee from spilling over. Evenly distribute the coffee and remove any excess
ground coffee from the edge of the filter.
use good quality medium ground coffee packaged for espresso coffee machines.
if too much ground coffee is put inside the funnel filter (F), it might be difficult to tighten the boiler
(g) on the carafe (C). there may be leaks from the boiler while coffee is being dispensed. the coffee
might not come out correctly.
Warning!
Tighten the boiler on the carafe, but without exaggerating. Do not prize the handle.
When the appliance is operating, the cover must stay closed.
Place the machine on the power supply base (H). Close the cover.
Press the on switch (I). The indicator light will turn on to indicate that the machine is on and operating.
The coffee will start to come out after a few minutes. Wait until the coffee has completely come out. Press the
on switch (I) to turn the machine off. Use a teaspoon to mix the coffee and make the density and temperature
uniform.
Wait until the machine has cooled down before unscrewing the boiler to make new coffee. As an alternative,
use gloves or rags to prevent the danger of burns.
Warning!
Electric appliance. Never put the boiler or power supply base in contact with water.
