Two-cup coffee
Fill the boiler (G) halfway with water (Fig. 2), remaining under the safety valve (L). Place the four-cup funnel
filter (F) inside the boiler. To prepare two-cup coffee, put the adaptor disc (K) inside the four-cup funnel filter
(Fig. 3). Follow the instructions in the paragraph "How to make coffee".
Auto-off function
If the machine is turned on but not in use, the auto-off function operates after about 30 minutes. This function
puts the machine in standby. The indicator light of the ON/OFF button (I) is off. To turn on the machine again,
press the ON/OFF button (I) to return it in position 2 and then press it to set it in position 1 (Fig 4). At this point
the indicator light of the ON/OFF button lights up and the machine will be in operation again.

Warning!
All cleaning operations described below must be performed with the machine off and with the electric
plug disconnected from the socket-outlet.
Warning!
Regular maintenance and cleaning preserve and keep the machine efficient for a longer amount of
time. Never wash machine components in the dishwasher. Do not use direct jets of water. Never put
the boiler (G) or power supply base (H) in contact with water.
Warning!
All operations must be performed when the machine is cold.
The boiler (G) and power supply base (H) can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive detergents
or metallic utensils.
When you remove the seal (E) and disc filter (D) for cleaning or replacement, make sure you correctly put
them back in place so as to prevent splashes or spurts of hot water. Check that the holes of the disc filter are
not clogged and if so, clean them with a small brush (Fig. 5).
When the seal and disc filter show signs of wear or deterioration, they have to be replaced. Use original spare
parts that can be purchased at authorised service centres.
DecAlcIFIcATIOn
A layer of lime may form on the bottom of the boiler over time, after numerous pots of coffee have been made;
this may lead to a longer percolation time. To remedy this problem, it is necessary to periodically eliminate this
layer of lime with a descaling process.
Use proprietary coffee machine descaling products found on the market (citric acid, for example).
Follow these directions to descale:
Make sure the coffee machine is cold and unscrew it.
Fill the boiler with the descaling product and wait half an hour.
Make sure the interior of the boiler is thoroughly clean.
the operation must be carried out with the boiler cold and not inserted in the base.
After half an hour has elapsed, empty the boiler and make sure you have removed the lime from the bottom,
then rinse the interior of the boiler. Do not immerse the boiler in water.
Make at least 3 pots of coffee to throw away.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for malfunctioning if the operation described has not been carried
out.
puTTInG OuT OF serVIce
If the machine is put out of service, electrically disconnect it. Cut the power cord. In the case of scrapping, you
must separate the various materials used in making the machine and dispose of them based on their composi-
tion and on the legal provisions in force in the country of use.
