use since water can pose a hazard, even when the appliance is
switched off.
f Always position or store electrical equipment where it cannot
fall into water (e.g. washbasin). Keep the appliance away from
water and other liquids.
f If you have wet hands, do not use the appliance and never con-
nect it to or disconnect it from the mains.
f Never touch electrical equipment that has fallen into water
or reach into water to retrieve it. Disconnect from the mains
immediately.
f If the appliance is dropped into water, it may not be used again
subsequently. Have the appliance inspected at a service centre
before using it again.
f Only use and store the appliance in dry rooms.
f Faulty electrical installation, a mains voltage that is too high or
improper use can result in short circuiting or electric shocks.
f As an additional safety measure, it is recommended that a
tested residual current appliance (RCD) with a residual operat-
ing current of not more than 30 mA be installed in the circuit. Ask
an electrician for advice.
