If the model of your appliance does not have
the accessories described above, they can
also be bought separately from the Technical
Assistance Service.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Caution: A new battery is not fully charged
and must therefore be charged before the
appliance is used for the first time.
Charge the battery at an atmospheric
temperature of between 4 ºC and 40 ºC.
Remove the battery pack (I) from the handle by
pressing at the sides and pulling out.
Connect the charger into the battery charging
socket (the socket is located at the lower/back
part of the battery).
Plug the charger (K) into the mains.
A pilot light will come on to indicate that the
charger is ready to begin charging the battery.
The pilot light will turn red to indicate that the
charger is charging the battery.
Approximately 3 to 5 hours are needed for
a complete charge of the battery. Never
attempt to over charge the battery (although
it is recommended that the first charge of the
battery be of 5 hours in duration).
LED light from the charger will become green
when the battery is fully charged.
When the battery is charged disconnect the
charger from the mains supply.
NB: For the battery to work optimally, avoid
prolonged discharge cycles. Re-charge the
battery frequently. Avoid total discharge of the
batteries. This type of discharge damages the
battery cells. The most frequent cause of total
battery discharge is long storage. Store the
