STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
When storing HotWave, it is critical to first drain
all water from the unit. Follow the SHUT-DOWN
procedure noted in the section above.
HotWave may be stored in a variety of ways,
including box, bag, and it can be hung from a wall.
To hang, use loop on top back of HotWave.
The ideal storage location is inside an enclosed
space where HotWave is not subject to outdoor
elements. If storing in a non-climate controlled
location, where HotWave may be subject to
freezing temperatures, take extra care to drain
all water from the device as freezing conditions
may damage your HotWave if water is not drained
correctly.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Please review the TROUBLESHOOTING section for any issues with HotWave.
If the issue is not resolved after following procedures, contact Manufacturer for support.
Leaking Nozzle: If the nozzle leaks during
operation, this may indicate there is dirt trapped
within the nozzle that must be cleared.
Step 1: To remove this dirt, remove the screw
on front of the nozzle. Once the screw has been
removed and the nozzle is loosened, carefully pull
nozzle away from unit to remove.
Step 2: When the nozzle is disconnected, notice
the location of internal components. You will see
a white gasket located above the center spindle.
Below the spindle you will notice a gray plunging
pin. Clean off the white gasket by wiping with a
damp cloth.
Step 3: Next, wipe down the back side of the
nozzle with a damp cloth to remove any sediment,
dirt or debris.
Step 4: Before re-assembly, double check that the
white gasket and gray plunging pin are still located
in the appropriate place.
Step 5: Carefully push the nozzle wheel back
onto the spindle, and then replace the screw.

MAINTENANCE
Proper care of your HotWave can extend its life.
Regular maintenance is not required. Be sure
to purge all air out of HotWave prior to use. Be
sure to drain all water from HotWave post use to
preserve functionality.
If the unit becomes dirty, follow these steps
to clean it.
Step 1: Unplug the device prior to any cleaning or
maintenance.
Step 2: Rinse the unit off if it comes in contact with
any debris or a cleaning agent.
Step 3: Using a soft damp cloth, wipe HotWave
down and then dry the unit as necessary.
Clogged Inlet Screen: If there is a lack of
stream pressure during operation, this may
indicate that the inlet screen at the hose connection
is clogged.
Step 1: At the end of the 6-foot hose is a brass
fitting with an inlet screen inside. If it looks blocked
with dirt, you can remove it to clean. Do this by
gently pushing on the screen itself. Take care not to
bend the screen in.
Step 2: To clean the inlet screen, wash it in a sink
using soap and water. If this does not resolve the
issue, soak the inlet screen in a mild solution of
water and vinegar for 10 minutes or until the dirt is
removed.
Step 3: If you continue to have problems,
a replacement can be found at most hardware
stores or online retailers. Search for "Hose
washer with screen".
