FAQS: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why isn't the water hot enough?
A: HotWave will heat water utilizing all power available, however the temperature of the heated water may
vary due to many conditions. To ensure water exiting device is as hot as possible, reduce the flow rate as
much as possible. Do so by rotating nozzle to red colored settings. This is the best option as it maintains
good pressure, but you can also turn the pressure adjustment lever left to the "–" symbol indicating a
decrease in pressure and flow. These recommendations are particularly important in locations with high
water pressure at your home, as this increases the flow rate of the water.
Q: Why isn't the water hot?
A: The unit may not be on. Check if the Power Indicator Light on top of the unit lights up when you pull the
trigger to spray the water. If it does, the unit is heating the water. If it does not, press the RESET button
located on the HotWave GFCI. The GFCI is found on the electrical power cord near the plug.
Alternatively, if your home has a GFCI located at the outlet (buttons located on the outlet), press the RESET
button.
If both of the previous recommendations did not solve the issue, the outlet itself may be the source of
the problem. Try plugging the HotWave into a different outlet. Be sure to press the RESET button on the
HotWave GFCI every time.
Also, try continuing to spray water to see if the issue resolves itself. There is an electrical cut out (ECO)
safety component inside of the device. Though unlikely, it could have tripped because of heat. Running
water through HotWave should cool it down and reset it.
