TRANSMISSION GEARS
LUBRICATION
The transmission gears in the cutting
head and power head assemblies need
to be lubricated periodically with gear

approximately every 50 hours of operation

three sealing bolts: two on the cutting

power head assembly (Fig. 10b).
If no grease can be seen on the flanks
of the gear, follow the steps below to fill
with gear grease to 3/4 capacity. Do not
completely fill the transmission gear case.
1. Depending on which bolt you are
removing, lay the hedge trimmer on its
back or hold it on its side so that the
sealing bolt to be removed is facing
upwards (Fig. 10a & 10b).
2. Use the included hex key to loosen and remove the sealing bolt.
3. Use a grease gun (not included) to inject some grease into the bolt hole; do not
exceed 3/4 capacity.
4. Tighten the sealing bolt(s) after injection.
