Chapter II
1. Set the function switch to the VAC/H2/% position.
2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the negative COM
terminal.
Insert red test lead banana plug into the positive
+ terminal.
3. Apply the test probes to the points of the circuit
to be tested.
4. The voltage measured is displayed on screen.
5. Press the Hz% key to display "Hz".
6. The frequency measurement is displayed on
screen.
7. Press the Hz% key again to display "%".
8. The duty cycle is displayed in percentage.
3.3 DC current measurements
Do not make 20 A current measurements for longer than 30 s.
Exceeding 30 seconds may cause damage to the multimeter
and/or the test leads.
1. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the
negative COM terminal.
2. For DC current measurements up to 6000µA,
set the function switch to the µA position and
insert the red test lead banana plug into the
µA/mA terminal.
3. For DC current measurements up to 600mA,
set the function switch to the mA position and
insert the red test lead banana plug into the
µA/mA terminal.
4. For DC current measurements up to 20A, set
the function switch to the 10A position and
insert the red test lead banana plug into the
10A terminal.
5. Press the MODE key to display "DC" on screen.
6. Remove power from the circuit to be tested, then open the circuit
at the point where you wish to measure the current.
7. Apply the test probes to the points of the circuit to be tested.
8. Apply power to the circuit.
9. The current measured is displayed on screen.
