3.4 Temperature measurements
1. Set the function switch to the Temp
position.
2. Insert the probe's connector banana
plugs into the Temp positive and COM
negative terminals in keeping with
polarity.
3. Press the Mode key to display PF or PC.
4. Apply the tip of the probe to the part
whose temperature you wish to measure.
5. The temperature measured is displayed.
The temperature probe is equipped with a K-type mini-
connector. A banana-plug-mini-connector adaptor is supplied
to allow the probe to be connected to the instrument's terminals.
3.5 Capacity measurements
To eliminate any risk of deterioration, disconnect power to the
circuit to be tested and unload capacitors before making any
capacity measurement.
1. Set the switch to the Ω CAP
2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into
the negative COM terminal and the red test
lead banana plug into the positive + terminal.
3. Press the MODE key to display "nF" on
screen.
4. Apply the test probes to the tips of the
capacitor to be measured.
5. The measurement can take up to 3 minutes,
or even longer for large capacitors, because
of the load time. Wait until the measurement
is displayed before stopping it.
