For optimum
stereo reproduction, the
pair of speaker systems should be posi-
tioned
side by side approximately the
the same
distance
between
them and
the listener as shown on the illustration.
The
Dual
HiFi loudspeaker boxes are
equipped with special dome-type speak-
ers
which
radiate
the
high
frequen-
cies over a wide
range. Therefore
the
arrangement
of the speakers
is inde-
pendent of the listener's place. Adjust-
ment to suit the acoustics of the room
сап be made by means of the "Balance"
control.
Important! Make certain that the loud-
speakers connected to each channel have
a combined
impedance
of at least 4
ohms.
Failure
to observe this precau-
tion may cause a short circuit! Do not
attempt to connect several loudspeakers
in parallel to the Dual.
Centering stereo set-up
Press mono
key and adjust to medium
volume. Adjust balance control, so that,
when directly in front of the loudspeaker
set-up, the sound source appears to be
exactly in the center between
the two
speakers.
After switching over to the stereo (relea-
se the mono knob) the system is correct-
ly set for stereophonic listening.
When
playing
monaural
records,
it is
also advisable to follow the same ргіпсір-
le to
obtain
the best possible
room
arrangement.
