Product usage
Before first use
•
Before first use, set up the unit and turn the Temperature control knob to the highest
setting for 5 minutes (
during the process.
•
Turn off and disconnect the unit from the mains outlet. Allow the unit to cool down before
cleaning (
Cleaning and maintenance).
Use
WARNING!
Only use the removable power cable supplied with this unit to avoid electrical
hazards.
Use the unit indoors, in a dry and well-ventilated area.
Setting up the unit
1.
Place the bamboo base on a flat, stable, level, dry and heat-resistant surface. We
recommend placing a heat-resistant mat between the unit and the table to protect your
table from heat.
2.
Place the grill/griddle plate on the bamboo base by inserting the probe socket into the
slot on the right of the bamboo base. Keep the sides of the unit at least 15 cm away from
other objects
.
3.
Insert the drip tray into the slot on the front of the bamboo base
4.
Lightly grease the grill/griddle plate with cooking oil (such as vegetable oil, canola oil,
corn oil, sunflower oil, or peanut oil).
Using the unit
CAUTION!
Before connecting the power cable to the mains outlet, make sure the Temperature
control knob is in the OFF position.
1.
Firmly plug the probe connector into the probe socket
2.
Connect the power cable to a suitable mains outlet
3.
Turn the Temperature control knob clockwise to the desired setting
indicator light will turn on to indicate the unit is on and heating up to the set temperature.
The heating indicator light will turn off once the set temperature is reached.
4.
Allow the unit to preheat until the heating indicator light turns off. Never attempt to
touch the cooking surface as a way of checking its temperature
5.
Place the prepared ingredients on the grill/griddle plate to start cooking. During use, the
indicator light will turn on and off while the thermostat maintains the set temperature.
6.
Once finished using the unit, turn the Temperature control knob anti-clockwise to the
OFF position to turn the unit off
