MODE SELECTOR SWITCH:
Selects one of the three possible modes of operation:
A. 4-channel, 2-input operation:
Allows connection of separate front & rear outputs of a signal source to front &
rear inputs of the 3402. In this mode, the 3402 acts as two completely
independent front & rear equalizers. This system combination allows fading
between front & rear channels from the head unit.
B. 4-channel, 1-input operation:
Allows connection of a head unit with a single pre-amp output to the front (CH 1/2)
input of the 3402. This signal is then routed to front & rear equalizers of the unit,
independently equalized and sent to the separate front & rear output terminals of
the 3402. In this set-up, the rear (CH 3/4) input is disabled, & there will be no
fading capability. This, however, allows for different equalization curves to be
selected for front & rear channels.
C. 2-channe! operation:
Configures the 3402 into a 2-channel, 7-band parametric equalizer, providing
tremendous system adjustment capability utilizing a total of seven fully adjustable
bands devoted to two channels. If this mode of operation is desired, a second
3402 will be necessary for a front/rear system.
@
EQ IN/OUT SELECTORS:
Independent equalizer in/out switches allow bypassing front (CH 1/2), rear (CH 3/4), or
both equalization circuits for sound comparison or other purposes.
@ EQ OUT INDICATOR:
Two independent front & rear LEDs signal the equalizer's defeat mode.
