5. Unpacking and installation

The equipment is sent in a wooden box with porexpan to avoid problems during the transport.
Take out the accessory box and the instruction manual.
Remove the around foam packing.
Do not carry the instrument with the
handle of the handwheel, or Blade
Carrier device.

5.1 Installing the microtome

Place the microtome on a stable laboratory table, and back away from the wall about 150mm.

5.2 Requirement of placement
