7.5 Safety precautions of blade holder operation

Warning: when operating or changing the specimen, knife and disposal blade, even during
breaks, the cutting edge must be always covered with the knife guard
- Be careful when adjusting the disposable blade, because the edge of blade is extremely
sharp, inattention may cause injury to your hand
- Don't leave disposable blade and blade holder around, keep always unused disposable
blade in the knife box.
- Blade will never allow to place upward
- Do not pick up in any case the falling blade and the blader holder with knife by hand

8. Operation of slicing

8.1 Selection of slice thickness

1. Choose the thickness by adjustment knob (1) on the top right corner of microtome. It can
be rotated effectively to select each level for slice thickness
