The software Counter Diff 15 PC Manager requires Microsoft Windows XP SL3 or a higher
version. Before installing the software, make sure that you have also installed the latest
service packs for Windows.
1. First, uninstall any earlier versions of the Counter Diff 15 PC Manager if applicable.
2. Insert the CD Counter Diff 15 PC Manager into your CD drive.
3. Open Windows Explorer and select the CD „Counter".
4. To run the installation programme go to the directory „Counter Diff 15 PC
Manager"on the CD, open the file „setup.exe" and follow the on-screen
instructions.
5. This programme requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. If not already installed, it
will be done automatically.

7. Application of the software

7.1 Starting the application

1. First, connect the Cellcounter to the serial interface of the PC, then to the mains.
2. Switch on the Cellcounter.
3. Double-click the icon Counter Diff 15 PC Manager on the desktop of the
computer.
7.2 Read Out Counter Data and save patient information
1. If you have connected the counter to any other COM port than COM port 1
then go to the menu Settings and then to menu COM port to set the appropriate
COM port.
2. To change a button name, please click on the button name in the software and
alter as required.
3. Start counting with the Cellcounter.
4. Having finished counting, click the Read Out Counter Data button in the software
to upload the data to the manager. If this does not work, please refer to the
trouble shooting section.
5. Next clicking the Save Data button will open a window to enter patient
information (last- and first name are required). When finished, click the Next
button to confirm saving all entered data. The counter data and the patient
information will be saved to disk.
6. To clear the counter for reading the next data set, press the Clear button of the
Cellcounter and hold for three seconds. Now continue from step 3.
