possible noise frequencies
which
may
occur during

when
making tape-to-tape recordings, the
MPX-filter

an
impedance
of
200-1 000 Ohm and 6.35 mm O
(1

jack plugs
are
suitablefor
connection
to the
cassette
deck. Two identical mono

Erasing
The
cassette
deck
erases
all
previous
recordings
when
a
new
recording is made.
lf
you
want
to erase
a
recording without making
a
new one,
play
the cassette
through
with the
controls
set
for
"
recor-
ding"
but with
the
recording
level controls set
to
"0".
All
compact cassettes have
two slots
on
their
rear
edge which
are
partially covered by plastic tabs. You can prevent accidental erasure
of
your own
recordings
by
breaking out
the
appropriate
tabs.
Pre-recorded
tapes
bought
from
cassette dealers
are
usually
already protected against accidental erasure by removal
of
the
tabs.
lf
you wish
to
record
on a tape
protected
in this way,
it
is
only
necessary
to
close
the
slots
temporarily by
means of a small piece
of
adhesive
tape.
Please note that the additional
slots
present in
CrO2
tapes
must
not
be
closed
by adhesive
tape.
Head
The built-in
2/4-lrack
sound head has
excellent
magnetic characte-
ristics for recording and playback
in
conjunction with high resistance
to
wear.
The
dual-gap erasing head guarantees
complete erasure
of
recor-
ded program
material,
even with
the
new
metal
type tapes,
which
are somewhat critical in
this
respect.
Care,
maintenance, malfunctions
We
recomrnend
that
the
heads, capstan,
pinch roller and
tape
guides be kept clean. When cleaning, use
a
cotton swab moistened
with pure alcohol.
Please
do not
use
any
hard
or metallic objects
and
do
not
touch
the
head surfaces
with your fingers. The pinch
roller
must
be cleaned
with
a
dry cotton
swab.
lf
any
malfunction
occurs which cannot be traced
to
an
operating
error,
please consult
your
dealer.
The power
switch
is
