Installation and operation

missing or defective parts. Replace

Do not operate with leakage in system.
Disconnect air to motor.
Failure to comply may results in
serious injury.
Installation
1 Thread adapter (2) into air inlet of air
motor (→ Fig. IPB 1, page 15).
2 Thread air coupler (3) onto facility air hose.
3 If unit is equipped with eyebolt (1),
remove pipe plug from top of air motor
and replace with eyebolt.
NOTE
For ease in installing cover onto pump,
lift pump by eyebolt (1) with a hoist.
4 If unit is to be used with an optional cover,
perform the following steps:
4.1 Slide cover over pump tube and align
holes of cover with holes on underside
of air motor.
4.2 Secure cover using stop nuts and
screws (supplied).
4.3 Install thumb screws into openings on
side of cover.
5 Install and secure pump into drum, tank,
or suction pipe.
6 Connect material hose (not supplied) to
material outlet of air motor.
7 Connect air hose coupler (3) to adapter (2)
in air motor.

Operation
Bench test
NOTE
Perform the following procedures at a
pressure not to exceed 20 psi (1.4 bar).
Make sure air pressure at regulator reads
zero.
1 Install air connector (2) to inlet of air
motor.
2 Connect air coupler (3) to connector.
3 Slowly supply air pressure to pump
motor.
4 Pump should cycle. If pump does not
cycle, refer to Troubleshooting, page 14
for details.
