Thank you for purchasing a DECATHLON electrically-assisted bike.
We invite you to read the instruction manual to get the most out of your SPEED 900E bike.
Never forget that an electrically-assisted bike is not a moped. It needs your help to go further,
faster and longer.
We suggest that you learn how to use your electrically-assisted bike in an open area in order
to get used to the feel of the motor kicking in and thus ensure optimum control of your bicycle.
An electrically-assisted bike is heavier than a conventional bike ( unloaded weight of the
SPEED 900E is 15 kg for the Medium version. Without power assistance, pedalling can be
more difficult.
You must always make sure you are capable of riding the entire journey without assistance,
in case your battery runs flat.
Here is what you need to do to get the most out of your power-assisted bike.
Important, this instruction manual only applies to the electrical characteristics of
your bicycle.
You should refer to the user manuals common to all our bicycles that accompany
this document and are also available on our website www.decathlon.com or on re-
quest in our DECATHLON stores.
