Positioning the midrange/tweeter plate
You can rotate the midrange/tweeter plate of the Trio6 monitor 360° in 90° stages.
This allows you to configure the monitor according to the room and installation constraints.
Procedure to follow to position the midrange/tweeter plate
1) Remove the 4 screws using a n°4 Allen key (fig. I).
2) Pull the plate out by around 10cm by tilting it (fig. J).
3) USING the vents, turn the plate until you achieve the desired position. Check that the mounting inserts are aligned with
the holes on the plate, to ensure perfect alignment between the screws and the holes on the hole/mounting inserts (fig. K).
4) To ensure the housing is correctly fitted, you must adhere to the following 3 points:
4.1. Position the housing. Insert and manually tighten the 4 screws, ensuring you do so cross-wise, as shown (fig. L).
4.2. Tighten the screws in a cross-wise pattern. Use the electric screwdriver on a low-power setting.
4.3. Tighten cross-wise again. Use the electric screwdriver on a more intense power setting. Next, make sure the screws are
properly tightened.
5) The monitor is ready to use.
Positioning the rubber feet
ST6 monitors are supplied with 4 rubber feet, allowing the loudspeaker to be decoupled from its support (console strip, stand,
etc.). We advise you to position the feet with as much space as possible between them, depending on the dimensions of the
stand (fig. H).
Wall/ceiling mounting
The mounting points allow you to fix the Solo6 monitors to the wall and/or ceiling using the K&M® accessories. The centre-
to-centre distance is 2
" (70mm) and requires M6 screws. Please refer to the table below for the compatible K&M® products.
3/4
As with any wall or ceiling mounting, installing the monitors can involve risks and the methods of drilling
and mounting to walls, ceilings and other surfaces depend on the conditions and standards of construction,
refurbishment, safety and cabling in force and applicable to the brackets involved. For this reason, the relevant
drilling, mounting and installation operations must be performed by a qualified professional who is familiar with
the installation and safety standards. Focal does not provide any end-of-use warranty for a given bracket or
installation, as installing the monitors is the customer's sole responsibility. Focal is therefore not liable in any capacity whatsoever
in the event of unhooking, fall, accident and/or any other result or damage of any kind related to the installation of monitors.

Stereo positioning
We recommend that you position the loudspeakers so as to achieve an equilateral triangle. The 3 corners are formed by the
listening position, the right loudspeaker and the left loudspeaker.
Multi-channel positioning
In the case of a 5.1 installation, we recommend you position the loudspeakers in a circle so that they are equidistant from
the listening point. The central channel will be positioned at 0°, the front right channel at 30°, the rear right channel at 110°,
the rear left channel at 250° and the front left channel at 330°. If yours is a Dolby Atmos system, refer to the Focal Dolby
Atmos Guidelines (https://www.focal.com/en/pro/dolby-atmos). The optimum positioning of the Sub12 varies depending
on the size, shape and acoustics of the listening room. We recommend that you try various possible positions and select
whichever one delivers the best listening quality. It is not unusual to get the best results by positioning the Sub12 in a corner.
