holders, etc. to your vehicle. The rack support is delivered as an assembly set.

Before use, you must first assemble the rack support carefully, following these operating instructions.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Read these operating instructions carefully before beginning assembling the rack support! Observe all safety
instructions!
• Keep the operati ng instructions for the duration of the product's service life
• Include the operating instructions if you give the product to any other person, either for use or to own
IMPORTANT: Please review the max. permissible roof bearing capacity as indicated by your vehicle manufacturer.
This rack support was developed, manufactured and tested with the utmost care and in compliance with all applicable
safety standards.
Warning
• When driving with roof racks with or without load in garages, multi-storey car parks, etc., it is essential to observe the
significantly increased vehicle height. Failure to do so may result in a collision and cause serious damage to property
and personal injury.
• After each new installation of roof racks on the vehicle roof and after each new loading of the roof racks, the roof
racks and loading must be checked for tightness for the first time after a short driving time (maximum 30 min. on bad
roads or 50 km on normal roads) and retightened if necessary. Especially during longer journeys, the bolted connec-
tions between the roof rack and the vehicle roof must be checked for tightness at regular intervals - at the latest after
every 500 km - and retightened if necessary. If the distance travelled is poor, the bolted connections must be checked
again after every 2 hours of driving at the latest.
• All bolts and connections of the basic carriers and attachments must be checked for tightness before each journey
and tightened if necessary.
• After breaks in driving in which the vehicle with roof rack has been left unattended, all freely accessible fastenings
of the roof rack and the load should be checked for strength and functionality (examination for damaging external
influence).
• Distribute the luggage evenly, keep the centre of gravity as low as possible and secure the goods to be transported
against slipping with suitable tensioning straps (no elastic straps).
• Belts and screws may show signs of wear over time. Replace them immediately when you notice signs of wear.
• Please note that your vehicle's handling and braking response will change once the rack support is loaded. Lower
your speed accordingly.
• Crosswind, sudden braking, tight curves, high speeds, peaks and potholes in damaged road surfaces alter your
vehicle's handling. So please lower your speed and drive at the legal speed limit. Never drive faster than 130 km/h.
12
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages incurred due to driving at excessive speed or other inappropriate
driver behavior.
• Before driving and regularly during transport, check that all fastening elements and bolts are securely tightened and
that the load are in a condition safe for use.
• Poorly visible objects may not protrude beyond the profile.
• For fuel economy and the safety of other road users, roof racks should be removed from the vehicle when not in use.
• Dismount any bike rack, roof box, ski holders, etc. before washing your vehicle.
• Do not cover any bike rack, roox box, ski holders, etc. with objects that may become separated in case of wind.
• This system requires careful assembly and strict adherence to the assembly and operating instructions. As the driver,
you are always responsible for your own safety and that of others.
• For roof transports, the regulations of the road traffic regulations must be observed or the country-specific regulations
must be observed.
• Inform any other driver who uses your rack support of these stipulations.
