The correct pan size

Use pans and saucepans with thick, flat bases. An uneven base increases cooking
time.
Choose the correct pan size for each element. The diameter of the pan or saucepan
base should correspond to the size of the element.
Note: Cookware manufacturers often give the diameter across the top of the pan.
This is usually larger than the diameter of the base.
Use a small pan for small quantities.
Always cover the pan with a lid that fits. Food cooks faster when you use the lid.
Boil foods with a small quantity of water. Vegetables retain their vitamins and
minerals.
Switch to a lower temperature as early as possible.
Cooked food can be kept warm on the element for 5 to 10 minutes after the
element is turned off.
As long as the hot surface indicator H is lit, you can use the element for warming and
melting without turning it back on.
Cooking with the quick start function
Setting quick start
All elements have quick start.
The element uses the highest heat setting to heat up, and then automatically
switches back to the selected level.
You no longer need to turn on the element, wait until the food is cooking and then
reduce the temperature. You can set the desired simmering temperature at the
beginning.
The time it takes for the element to heat up depends on the simmer setting selected.

Set the required simmer setting for the element.

Touch the P symbol within 5 seconds. 9 and the simmering level flash
alternately in the display. The quick start function turns on.
After the pan heats up, the element automatically switches back to simmer. Only the
simmering level remains lit on the display.
