Replacing the battery

Contact Somfy to find out the correct model name for the replacement battery.
Caution
The battery must be replaced by another battery of exactly the same type by a qualified specialist (an electrician according to DIN
VDE 1000-10 for drives and automation in domestic electrical installations).
Attention
•
Do not use any tools that could damage the drive when replacing the battery.
•
Do not sever or damage the antenna cable.
1. Take hold of the drive head and pull it out of the drive by sliding it out of the roller blind
tube.
2. If necessary, move the toothed wheel on the drive shaft so you can access the two
T6 Torx or cross-head screws and unscrew the drive head.
3. Carefully pull the drive head out of the roller blind tube, taking care not to damage the
cables. Now disconnect the battery.
4. Take hold of the used battery and pull it out of the roller blind tube, taking care not to
damage the cables.
5. Slide the new battery into the roller blind tube, leaving its connector outside the roller
blind tube.
6. Connect the new battery.
7. Carefully slide the drive head into the roller blind tube, using the roller blind tube's profile
as a guide. Take care not to damage the cables.
8. Use the two T6 Torx or cross-head screws to screw the drive head onto the roller blind
tube.
