INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE
PRECAUTIONS
All PestWest Traps are fully insulated, class 1 appliances, nevertheless, sensible precautions should be observed:
• Switch off the machine before servicing or cleaning.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• The Quantum® X LED lamps produce ultraviolet light in the UV-A region at
370nm wavelength, which can be harmful to the skin and eyes, avoid prolonged
exposure at close proximity.
• Do not install where dangerous concentrations of flammable vapour or
explosive dust is likely to occur.
• Ensure the unit is properly earthed.
• This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Ensure that operators have adequate and secure working platform, when
working on the machines.
• Do not allow the glue board to become overfilled with dead insects. Change
at regular intervals as required by the catch or at least every 6-8 weeks. Ensure
PestWest glue boards are fitted as replacement.
• Suitable for indoor use only.
• Not suitable for use in barns, stables and similar locations.
• Do not attempt to open the lid of the unit. There are no user serviceable parts
inside and removal may adversely affect the IP66 rating of the product.
• Ensure that a disconnection device for all poles is fitted when connecting to fixed
wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
