TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Machine fails
to start or stops
unexpectedly.
Motor runs but chain
does not rotate.
Motor runs, chain
rotates but does not
cut.
Cause
1.Battery pack charge is depleted.
2. Battery pack is not installed
properly.
1. Chain does not engage drive
sprocket.
2.Chain tension is too tight.
1.Dull chain.
2.Chain is installed backwards.
Remedy
1.Charge the battery pack.
2. Confirm that the battery
pack is locked and secured
to the machine.
1. Reinstall the chain, making
sure that the drive links on
the chain are fully seated on
the sprocket.
2. Re-tension the chain. Refer
to the "Adjusting the Chain
Tension" chapter in this
manual.
1. Replace or sharpen the
chain.
2. Reinstall the chain to
reverse the direction of the
chain.
