For the same reason, do not accumulate
materials of any kind in its proximity, do not place objects or containers for
liquids of any kind on the battery charger.
The Q LOG-series chargers have the ability to charge all types of batteries
commonly present on the market, depending on their construction technology
and user needs. Each Polar Q LOG-Series charger model can be customized
by setting the charging curve according to the user's needs, modifying four
parameters: nominal battery voltage, charging current, battery type and
end-of-charge mode. This is done using the Program Shooter (code 222900).
To find out how a battery charger is set, see the chapter "Operations
- commands and displays".
WARNING: Unlike the classic Q series, on the Q Log series
to use the Program Shooter it's necessary to turn on the battery
charger by powering it from the mains and insert the Program
Shooter into the appropriate connector when the following screen
appears on the display.
Depending on the type of battery set, the charge curve will reach different
charge voltages. Refer to the following list to make sure the charger is set
correctly for the battery you are charging:
WET: Free lead acid
End of charge voltage: 2.4V / element
WET DEEP: Free lead acid with deep charge
End of charge: 2.65V / element
GEL: Lead-acid with electrolyte in gel form
End of charge voltage: 2.35V / element
