Note: This unit is designed to use either disposable canisters, or a large
refillable tank with a regulator and hose assembly which is specified by the appliance manufacturer and local gas regulations.
Clean and inspect the hose before each use of the appliance. If there is evidence of abrasion, wear, cuts, or leaks, the hose
must be replaced prior to the appliance being put into operation. The replacement hose assembly shall be that specified by
the local gas regulations. Make gas connections away from any possible source of ignition. The flexible hose/tube used with
refillable tanks must comply with the local gas regulations and may not exceed 59 inches (1.5m) The resting place for the
supply tank must be 20 inches (0.5m) away from the appliance
REFILLABLE TANKS
1) When using a Regulator and Hose Assembly
which has a 1/4" LH Swivel connector at the
end. First install the included 5/8-18 UNF x 1/4"
FH adapter to the existing Gas Pipe. Then
attach a regulator and hose assembly which is
specified by the appliance manufacturer and
local gas regulations. Confirm that the gas is
turned off. Connect the approved hose
assembly to both the regulator and gas pipe.
Also be sure that the hose is not subject to
twisting prior to connection. Finally, use a soap
and water solution to ensure that no bubbles
appear at the connection points which would
indicate a gas leak.
2) When using a Regulator and Hose Assembly
which has a clean-cut hose end. First install the
included 5/8-18 UNF x 1/4" LH adapter to the
existing Gas Pipe. Then install the included
1/4" LH Female Swivel x Barb fitting to the
already installed 5/8 fitting on the Gas Pipe.
Attach a regulator and hose assembly which is
specified by the appliance manufacturer and
local gas regulations. Connect the approved
hose assembly to both the regulator and gas
pipe. Also be sure that the hose is not subject
to twisting prior to connection. Finally, use
soapy water to ensure there are no bubbles
appearing at the connection points which would
indicate leaks.
